Yes. 417 Dumpster Rental is veteran-owned and based in Springfield, and the dumpsters are ours, the red ones with the raccoon on the side. We're not a broker, so the company you call is the company that shows up.
Two sizes. The 14-yard runs 14 feet long, 7 feet wide, and 4 feet tall. The 20-yard is the same 14 by 7 footprint with 6-foot walls. Both take up the same amount of driveway, so the difference is how much debris fits, not how much space you need.
For most home jobs, the 20-yard. It handles cleanouts, remodels, and moving prep, and it starts at $299. The 14-yard starts at $249 and is built for contractors and heavy loads like concrete, dirt, and shingles. The size guide sorts most jobs quickly, or call and describe the pile.
The 20-yard, the dumpster most home jobs take, starts at $299. The 14-yard, the one for contractors and heavy loads, starts at $249. Call (417) 766-2029 and we'll quote your job. You'll be talking to the local company that owns the dumpsters, not a broker marking up someone else's.
The rental period is three days, which covers most projects with room to spare. If you need it longer, extra days are $20 each, so just tell us when you call.
Call (417) 766-2029, or send the quote form and we'll call you back. Tell us what the job is and where you'd like the dumpster to sit, and we'll get one lined up. Same-day and next-day delivery are available.
The dumpster comes out on a trailer behind a pickup, and a hydraulic lift sets it down right where you want it. That's a smaller, lighter setup than the cable roll-off trucks most companies run.
No. As long as we know where the dumpster goes and the spot is clear of cars, we can set it without you there. Talk the placement through when you call, or send a photo of the spot.
The best spot is a straight run of driveway with room for a pickup and trailer to pull in and line up. Yards and gravel pads work too. Think about which direction you'll load from, since the dumpster opens at one end.
Send a photo when you call. If the dumpster has to go between a fence and a garage or down a narrow drive, send a photo. Seeing the space ahead of time lets us tell you whether it'll work before the truck heads out.
Our delivery setup is easier on driveways than most. The dumpster rides on a trailer and a hydraulic lift sets it down, rather than sliding off a tilted truck bed. We also have driveway protection boards, available on request, and we put them down on our own when a surface looks like it could take damage, stamped or decorative concrete especially. On grass or gravel, boards go under the dumpster, which makes pickup easier too. Bring up any concern when you call.
Not at all. A lot of the driveways on our route are gravel, and the dumpsters sit on them fine.
Not on your own driveway or private property. Permits only come up when a dumpster has to sit on a public street or right-of-way, and each city sets its own rules. Our permit guide covers the basics.
Sometimes, but that's a city question, not ours. Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, and the other towns each handle their own right-of-way rules, so check with your city hall before planning a street placement.
Most of what comes out of a house or jobsite: household junk, old furniture, remodel debris like wood, drywall, and flooring, roofing tear-off, and heavy debris like concrete and dirt. Brush goes too, as its own dedicated load. The acceptable items page has the full rundown.
Liquids are the number one no: nothing that pours, so no wet paint, oil, or fuel. Household garbage and food waste stay out too, and so does the hazardous list: chemicals, batteries, asbestos, tires, and some electronics like TVs. City and county hazardous waste programs take that stuff, and we can point you toward them.
Yes. Mattresses, box springs, couches, dressers, and other household furniture go in with the rest of a cleanout.
Washers, dryers, stoves, and water heaters are fine. Fridges, freezers, and AC units are the exception: federal law requires the refrigerant to be recovered by a certified tech before disposal, so call before loading those.
They're accepted. Concrete, dirt, brick, and shingles all go in. Heavy loads like those ride in the 14-yard almost exclusively, since dense material hits the truck's legal road weight long before the dumpster looks full. Tell us what you're loading and we'll set up the right dumpster.
Yes, as a brush-only load. The landfill won't take brush mixed with other debris, so brush goes to a separate facility. Keep brush in its own dumpster and mention it when you call so we can plan the load.
Level with the top rim. That's the standard across the industry, because a load mounded over the walls can't be tarped and hauled safely.
Anything sticking up past the rim has to come out before the dumpster can leave, so you'd be unloading the top of your own pile. Easier to stop at the rim and call us about hauling the rest.
Rain isn't a problem. Water drains out of the dumpster and adds little to the weight of a normal load. Just keep loading once things dry out.
No. Dragging a roll-off with a tractor or truck tears up the ground and can damage the dumpster. If it needs to move, call us and we'll reposition it with the trailer.
No. Keep the area around the dumpster clear and make sure nothing is piled against it, and the driver can load it up and go.
We take major credit cards and cash. You pay for the dumpster at or before drop-off, and weight is billed after pickup. We go over how that works when you book.
We do. The company is veteran-owned, and discounts exist for veterans and first responders. Ask when you call.
Whenever the dumpster is full or the job wraps up, call (417) 766-2029 and we'll come get it. The same trailer that delivered it hauls it off.
Call and you'll get an answer from the people who run the route.
