Most of what a remodel or a new build throws off goes straight into one of our roll-offs. Framing scrap, drywall, old flooring, siding, cabinets, and the packaging that piles up faster than anyone expects. Concrete, dirt, and shingles go in too. Heavy loads like those ride in the 14-yard, because dense material gets heavy long before the dumpster looks full. Tell us what's coming out when you call, and we'll send the right dumpster.

Construction debris behaves differently than household junk, and what catches people out is that the heavy stuff doesn't look heavy. Drywall comes off the wall in sheets that stack tight, plaster and tile land dense, and a single gutted bathroom can out-weigh a whole load of framing scrap. Lumber, trim, and siding do the opposite, filling the dumpster long before they trouble the scale. Knowing which kind of load you have is most of the sizing conversation.
A kitchen tear-out, a basement refinish, or the cleanup phase of a new build all fit the same pattern: heavy demo first, bulky finish scrap later. Shingle debris has its own weight math.
Concrete, brick, dirt, and rock are all accepted. What has to be planned is weight. Every roll-off truck has a legal road weight, and dense material reaches it while the dumpster still looks half empty. That's physics, and it's true of every hauler in Missouri.
It's why heavy loads go in the 14-yard almost exclusively, starting at $249. Call (417) 766-2029 with what you've got and roughly how much, and the dumpster that shows up will be the one that can leave with the load in it.
The 20-yard with its 6-foot walls is the volume dumpster for demo weeks and running remodels. The 14-yard shares the same 14 by 7 footprint with 4-foot walls, easier for hand-loading heavy material low and flat. The what-size guide compares them side by side, and homeowners mid-remodel may want the residential page for the driveway details.
We put dumpsters on active sites all over Springfield and the surrounding towns, and the full town list is on the service area page. Because the dumpster arrives on a trailer with a hydraulic lift, a dirt pad or an unfinished gravel drive is a normal drop, not a problem to engineer around.
Same-day and next-day delivery are available, which matters when the demo crew showed up a day early. Crews running multiple jobs should look at the commercial page for how we work with contractors, and the what goes in list is worth a skim before demo starts.
Drywall, framing lumber, and trim all go in. So does flooring of every kind, carpet and pad, laminate, vinyl plank, hardwood, and the tack strip that comes up with it. Siding, soffit, and fascia go in.
Windows and doors go in, frames and all, and so do cabinets, countertops, insulation, roof decking, and the mountain of cardboard and banding a new build sheds before anybody swings a hammer. That's bulky material, which is what the 20-yard and its 6-foot walls are built to swallow.
Concrete, brick, block, rock, dirt, plaster, and tile are all accepted, and all of them belong in the 14-yard. Keep dense debris low and flat across the floor rather than piled at one end. What never goes in any dumpster is liquid of any kind: no fuel, solvents, wet paint, drywall mud left soupy in the bucket, chemicals, or asbestos. Let paint dry solid, or take it to a household hazardous waste drop.
What Goes in a Dumpster
Put the dumpster on the side of the building the crew is gutting, as close to the exit they're using as the ground allows. Every extra step is a wheelbarrow trip repeated a hundred times.
Leave a straight run behind it so the trailer can back in without a three-point turn around a stack of material. Keep the drop spot clear of low limbs and wires. Say something before delivery if there's fresh concrete or soft fill anywhere near it.
Load level with the rim. A mounded load can't be tarped or hauled legally, and anything sticking above the rail comes back out before the dumpster moves. Break framing down so it lies flat instead of bridging across the middle, because a bridged load wastes half the dumpster.
When the first one is getting close, call. A second dumpster is a phone conversation, not a form, and it's a lot easier to talk about before the load is buried. We won't promise you a window we can't hold, but same-day and next-day delivery are available.
How Delivery WorksYes. Concrete, dirt, brick, and rock are all accepted. Heavy loads like those go in the 14-yard almost exclusively, because dense material hits the truck's legal road weight while the dumpster still looks half empty. Describe what you have and roughly how much when you call, and we will set up the right dumpster.
The material a remodel or build sheds: framing lumber, drywall, plaster, flooring, tile, siding, windows, doors, cabinets, and the cardboard and packaging that pile up on a new build. All of that goes in. Hazardous material does not, which on a demo job means asbestos, fuel, and chemical waste. If a house is old enough that asbestos is a question, get it tested before demo day.
A straight run to back the trailer in and clear overhead room where the dumpster lands. Keep the drop spot free of low limbs, wires, and parked equipment, and point out anything soft or newly poured before we arrive. The dumpster rides in on a trailer and a hydraulic lift sets it down, so it works on dirt and gravel pads fine.
Dense material low and flat across the floor of the dumpster, lighter bulk on top, and everything level with the top rail so the load can be tarped and hauled legally. Break down framing so it lies flat instead of bridging, because a load that bridges wastes half the dumpster.
